HCL launches Non-stop series Leaptops in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Mar 8 (UNI) HCL Infosystems Limited launched its new range of notebook computers featuring the revolutionary Embedded Control and Continuity (EC2) technology named ''HCL Non Stop Series'' today.

Speaking at the launch, George Paul, Executive Vice President, HCL infosystems said that EC2 technology is first of kind in the world and research has suggested that 90 per cent of all problems with computers are software related that include accidental deletion of critical data,software corruption or virus related system crashes.

He said that for anyone concerned with safety of his data of computers, EC2 enabled leaptops are self healing computers that are able to recover all data in less than a minute in case of a system crash or accidental loss of data, the user can itself reload the data without the help of a system engineer.

EC2 technology developed by HCL's research and development division automatically stores and updates a complete image of its own working state at regular intervals which included all data, software and user data, residing inside the computer at any given point of time. EC2, fastest self healing computers recovers complete PC data in less than a minute, he added.

The new Non-stop-series of leaptops are in ready available in all major cities of Gujarat has prices starting from between Rs 27,990 to a lakh depend upon various models.

HCL is the only company manufacturing laptops in India in their units in Puducherry and Uttarakhand.
