Dutch trade delegation for furthering business opportunities
Kolkata, Mar 08 (UNI) Close on the heels of a successful visit by a high powered American business delegation, ten senior government representatives from the Netherlands will arrive here on March 15 to "consoliodate and strengthen" the country's economic relations with India through mutual cooperation.
The team, divided into two groups of experts in the fields of maritime affairs, infrastructure, logistics and water management would first arrive in New Delhi tonight for a wide ranging discussion with senior Indian leaders.
The team, led by Mr Marten Van Den Berg, Director General for Foreign Economic Relations,Government of Netherlands,had decided to come to West Bengal on the second and last leg of their week long visit,to see for themselves the encouraging growth opportunity in various industrial sectors including the non-conventional ones in the state, sources at the Dutch mission here today informed.
On the delegation's arrival in the city its members would take part in a CII sponsored day-long interactive session with the captains of industries in Easatern India on the scope of infrastrute development and providing logistics support.
Besides calling on Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacherjee and Industries Minister Nirupam Sen to share their views on matters of mutual interests,the members of the Dutch delegation would hold separate meetings with the representatives of several major Chambers of Commerce and corporate sectors during their two day stay in the city,the sources added.
