Day temperatures high in Uttarkhand, J

Pune, Mar 8 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Uttarkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Saurashtra.

It was above normal in some parts of Kutch, north Konkan, Rayalaseema, south Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and north Kerala.

They were appreciably below normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Bihar and in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, north Madhya Pradesh and were below normal in Punjab and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa and in remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh.

Night temperatures were markedly below normal in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of Assam, Jammu, east Rajasthan, south Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and were below normal in some parts of West Bengal and Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, north Gujarat region, Konkan, Kerala.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, south Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and were above normal in some parts of west Rajasthan and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil nadu, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema and Karnataka.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
