4 arrested for conspiring murder
Mumbai, Mar 8 (UNI) The Mumbai Police have arrested here four persons, including a political activist, from Uttar Pradesh and claimed to have foiled a bid on the life of a city builder in the state.
Joint Commissioner of Police Arup Patnaik told reporters that the four -- three sharp-shooters and the activist -- were arrested last evening while they were on their way to commit the offence.
Mohammed Jaffer Sheikh, Aslam Khan, Salim Qureshi and Vijay Vadkar had allegedly arrived here to kill Rashimkant Shah of Vijay Developers which was vying for a lucrative contract.
A rival group, which was also interested in securing the same contract, had allegedly hired the three sharp-shooters through political activist Vadkar to eliminate the builder.
