3 nominations filed for Rajnandgaon by-poll

Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Mar 8 (UNI) Three candidates have filed their nominations so far for the Lok Sabha by-election in Rajnandgaon constituency of Chhattisgarh where polling is slated for March 29, official sources said.

BSP nominee Balkrishna Agrawal and independent candidate Ajuram Chandravanshi filed their nomination yesterday. Earlier, Gondwana Ganatantra Party's Ramesh Thakur had filed his nomination on March 5.

The last date for filing nomination is March 10.

The by-poll was necessitated as sitting BJP MP Pradeep Gandhi was disqualified from Parliament after being caught in cash-for-query scam exposed in a sting operation.
