Rupee opens inches up at 44.43/45 per USD

Mumbai, Mar 7 (UNI) The Indian Rupee inched up against the US dollar this morning at 44.43/45 against its previous day's close of 44.46/47 close as the stock market showed signs of stabilising after some sharp losses, but traders were wary of reading too much into the rise, dealers said.

Later, the partially convertible Rupee was range bound of five to six paise and quoted between at 44.43 and 44.51 per dollar, stronger than yesterday's close of 44.46/47.

All eyes are on equities market which is still nervous and there's no clear direction. The market expects the Rupee to trade in a 44.43-51 range today, brokers added.
