PT activists stage demo to fill lecturers post

Chennai, Mar 7: Activists of Puthiya Thamizhagam (PT) today staged a slogan shouting demonstration here, urging the Tamil Nadu Government to fill the 525 backlog vacancies of the lecturers post in Government Colleges at one go.

The stir led by party founder-president Dr K Krishnasamy, also demanded that the Government should earmark an exclusive fund in the ensuing state budget for filling the existing three lakh vacancies in various state government departments.

Similar demonstrations were held in all the district headquarters in the state, the PT leader said in a release.
