International water expo from March 15

Chennai, Mar 7 (UNI) More than 45 companies will display their latest technologies in a three-day international water expo to be held here from March 15.

Organised by Everything About Water (EA Water), a knowledge and marketing solutions company in the field of water and waste water management, the event will pave way for companies and associations specialising in water treatment and all other related industries to meet under one roof to showcase and exhibit their product and expertise.

EA Water Managing Director Sunil Ghorawat said the expo would have over 200 exhibitors from 25 countries and 10,000 focused industrial visitors from all parts of the world making it the biggest water show in South Asia.

He said the buoyant Indian economy had left its mark on the country's water market estimated at over USD four billion.

It was witnessing a growth of 15 to 20 per cent providing significant opportunities with sizeable investments in both government and private sectors, he said.

On the other hand, the Asian water industry, estimated at USD 31 billion, was growing at the rate of 10 per cent per annum and there would be an unprecedented growth in municipal water, supply and sewege treatment industry.

Mr Ghorawat said a large number of American, European and Chinese companies were interested in the Indian market now.

An international conference on 'Clear Solutions for Clean Water' involving renowned experts and famous speakers would be held on the occasion.
