Govt reviewing accreditation norms

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) The existing framework of assessment and accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is under review.

The job is being done by the University Grants Commission, Minister of State for Human Resource Development D Purandeswari told the Lok Sabha today.

So far, NAAC has assessed and accredited 131 universities and 3074 colleges the details of which are available on the website, www.naacindia.org, the Minister said in a written reply.
