Elected members of the ninth Manipur Assembly take oath

Imphal, Mar 7 (UNI) The newly elected members of the ninth Legislative Assembly took oath this afternoon in Manipur.

The protem Speaker O Joy of the Manipur People's Party administered oath to the newly elected members.

The results of the 60-member Assembly elections were declared on February 27 and Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh was sworn in as the Chief Minister for the second time on March 2.

Mr Ibobi and Congress president Gaikhangam were absent at the oath- taking ceremony.
