DA for coop weavers up in Pondy

Puducherry, Mar 7 (UNI) The administration today enhanced the Dearness Allowance (DA) of co-operative weavers from 58 per cent to 70 per cent.

According to an offical release here, the enhancement will take restrospective effect from November one, 2006.

The exchequer will incur an additional expenditure of Rs 25 lakh a year in view of the enhancement.
