Two BSP supporters killed in firing in UP
Lucknow, Mar 6 (UNI) Two Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supporters were killed and another critically injured when a clash led to firing during a Holi programme in Allahabad last night, police today said.
While Gyan Yadav died on the spot, Anu Yadav succumbed to his injuries at a hospital this morning.
Police said the firing took place following a dispute among some youths during Holi celebrations in Umarpur Nimah village under Dhoomanganj police station.
The youths are said to be the supporters of the late BSP MLA Raju Pal, who was also killed in a shooting in 2005. Umarpur Nimah is the native village of the slain legislator.
Yogesh, critically injured in the firing, was admitted to the SRN Hospital.
The assailants fled the village and police have launched a massive manhunt to nab them.
