TRS, Communist members force adjournment of AP House
Hyderabad, Mar 6 (UNI) Members of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS), the TDP, Left parties and BJP stalled the proceedings of the Andhra Pradesh assembly, forcing Speaker K R Suresh Reddy to adjourn the house for 15 minutes.
While TRS members wanted debate on their adournment motion on denial of hall tickets to Intermediate students for shortage of attendance, the TDP, CPI(M), CPI and BJP demanded discussion on wages of village servants and class IV employees on par with government servants.
L Raja Rao's notice on non-payment of amount on construction of houses under INDIRAMMA scheme and the adjournment motion of K Ramulu of Janata Party, urging Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to visit the Metpally constituency, were also disallowed by the Speaker.
Mr Reddy repeatedly tried to convince the members that they could sort out the issue with the minister. He also assured them that they could mention the matter during the debate on demands.
The Speaker said he would arrange a meeting with the minister concerned so that the issues raised by the members could be resolved.
Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao told the members that a cabinet sub-committee on Revenue and Administration had already been constituted on the Chief Minister's order to strengthen the services of the village servants and class IV employees.
As the TRS and Communist members trooped to the well of the house and raised slogans, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings for 15 minutes.
