Six people killed in a road mishap near Koppal

Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) Six people were killed on the spot and two others injured when a fertiliser laden tractor, in which they were traveling, capsized near Koppal in North Karnataka.

Police said that the victims were caught under fertiliser bags when the twin-trailers capsized after an axle broke. The mishap occurred on Kushtagi-Illkal State Highway near Venigiri cross last night.

The victims belonged to Bidri village in Mudhol taluk of Bagalkot District.

Bodies of the victims were handed over to their relatives after the postmortem. The injured were treated as outpatients in a Hospital.
