K'taka Govt will continue to extend help to BSF: CM
Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) The Karnataka Government is ready to extend all necessary help to the Border Security Force (BSF), especially to the families of personnel from the State killed in various operations, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said today.
Speaking after inaugurating 'Tarang' Auditorium at BSF Signal Training School at Yelahanka on the outskirts of the city, he lauded the efforts of BSF in anti-insurgency, counter-insurgency and anti-militancy operations in different parts of the country.
''The welfare of these brave men is very important to achieve better results. I am happy that a canteen to provide daily needs to the personnel at below market prices has been opened in this campus,'' he said.
The Government had provided a prime 73-acre land to BSF to set up the signal training school. The BSF also had a sprawling training campus on the outskirts of the city.
The school worked with a mission to promote the process of developing, integrating, sharing and applying the knowledge-based telecommunication and information technology sectors for enhancing the operational efficiency of the BSF.
