Gwalior, Mar 6 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today warned the ''insult of late BSP President Kanshi Ram'' would be avenged by her at New Delhi and Lucknow.

''The Centre and Uttar Pradesh regime did not declare even a day's mourning after BSP founder Kanshi Ram's demise,'' she said while addressing a poll rally in favour of party nominee Kedarsingh Bidhudi on the last day of canvassing for the March 8 byelection to this parliamentary constituency.

Pointing out the BSP would have to take revenge after securing the electorate's assistance in future hustings, Ms Mayawati accused Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan of ''faking a fight'' with the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party.

''He joined hands with the Congress at the Centre to obtain a ministerial berth and is now making an unsuccessful attempt to split Dalit votes. Several development programmes were initiated in Uttar Pradesh during my tenure but they were terminated as soon as the Mulayam Singh Yadav led government came to power,'' she alleged.

Expressing concern over Uttar Pradesh's law and order situation, Ms Mayawati said ''goondaraj'' was prevailing there.
