Fiat mulls cheap car like Logan for India, China

GENEVA, Mar 6 (Reuters) Fiat Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne said on Tuesday the Italian automaker was considering building a low-cost car for Europe and Asian markets such as India and China.

''The car may have some roots in the Logan concept,'' Marchionne told reporters at the Geneva Auto show, referring to the Logan sedan that Renault sells for 4,790 euros (,290).

''The issue is on the table, and how we develop that platform, where we make it, is being discussed now.'' Fiat is helping Tata design its low-cost car.
