CM announces special sea-shore package

Gandhinagar, Mar 6 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today announced a five-year special package for people living on the sea-shore in the state.

The Chief Minister, while announcing the package in the state assembly, said an amount of Rs 11,000 crore has been earmarked for the project.

For the first year, a provision of Rs 7100 crore has been made under the package for a 12-point programme, which included efficiency, education, coastal national security, employment, health of fisherfolk, drinking water, housing, soil conservation, water management, energy development, capacity enhancement and salt-pan workers development.
