All heavy vehicles in Kerala to be fitted with speed governors

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 6 (UNI) All heavy transport vehicles and stage-carriers in the state should be fixed with speed governors by April 15 in the wake of the Supreme Court direction.

The vehicles should also be certified by the registering authority, State Transport Commissioner said in a release here.

He said strong action would be taken against those who ply their vehicles without installing speed governors after April 15.

Kerala had already faced much agitation over the installation of speed governors.
