Two male elephants died of electrocution
Mysore, Mar 5 (UNI) Two male elephants were killed after they came in contact with live wire at Yelakkuru in Chamarajanagara District in the early hours of today.
Chamarajanagara forest officials said that in all four elephants had entered into the farm land of Mariswamy near Santhemaralli last evening and had destroyed standing crops including sugar cane.
The officials tried to send back the elephants yesterday.
However, two elephants, aged about 15 years, were found dead in the morning after they came in contact with live wire put up to the fence.
