Two killed, forty injured in Nawada
Nawada, Mar 5 (UNI) Two people were killed and 40 others injured in separate incidents here during the past 24 hours.
Police said a 12-year-old-boy was shot dead while seven members of a family were injured in a group clash at Nad village. In another incident a youth under town police station area died after consuming spurious liquor.
In a clash among different rival groups at several places including Kumbhi, Gorapar, and Gambhirpur, at least 33 people sustained injuries. Four persons with serious injuries were referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
A senior Congress leader Chandrika Singh died of cardiac failure yesterday. He was 65 and held various important positions during his long political career.
