Three dead, 3 injured as car hits mini truck

New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) Three persons died and an equal number were seriously injured when a Wagon-R banged into a TATA 407 in Patel Nagar area of West Delhi early morning today.

Suraj (24), Dinesh (25) and Pradeep (25), who were sitting in the front seat, died on the spot near Shadipur Depot after their car crashed into the vehicle ahead of them, sources said.

Their injured collegues Bhup Singh, Kishan and Akash were admitted to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital and their condition is said to be serious.

Eyewitnesses said the accident, which took place at about 0400 hrs happened as the occupants of the car were heavily drunk.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested the driver of the mini truck TATA 407 and begun investigations.
