Punjab CLP refers selection of leader to Sonia Gandhi

Chandigarh, Mar 5 (UNI) The 44-member Congress Legislative Party (CLP), after an hour-long-meeting here today unanimously decided to leave the selection of their leader to Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

The meeting of the newly-elected Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the Congress Party was presided over by the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Shamsher Singh Dullo.

Mr Janardhan Dwivedi, MP and General Secretary in charge of Punjab Affairs of the All India Congress Committee was the Chief Guest at the meeting.
