Pilotless Aircraft ''Lakhya'' test flown from ITR
Balasore, Mar 5 (UNI) The indigenously built Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA) ''Lakhya'' was successfully test flown from the Integrated Test Range(ITR) at Chandipur-on-sea, about 15 kms from here today.
According to ITR sources the Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) was test flown at 1224 hours. The Lakhya aircraft has already been inducted into the defence force in 2000.
ITR sources said today's test was a developed engine version which has been used as aerial reconnaissance of battle field including the target acquisition.
