Milk price hiked in the state

Chennai, Mar 5: Tamil Nadu government announced hike in the selling price of milk to Rs 13.75 per litre, from Rs 12.50 per litre.

An official statement here yesterday said the government also decided to increase the procurement price of milk to Rs 12 per litre from Rs 10.50 per litre.

The decision to hike the prices was taken following a meeting held between Ministers Arcot Veeraswamy, Durai Murgan, Finance Secretary, Aavin Managing Director and Milk Producers Union District Secretary.
