Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) Members of the Uttar Bharati Sangam today held a 'Dhikkar Dharna' outside Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow here, in protest over his alleged humiliating remarks against Uttar Bharati leader Amar Singh, during the recently concluded Filmfare awards.

Talking to UNI, the Uttar Bharati Sangam's President Ram Shankar Tiwari said, ''The remarks have aggravated the large Uttar Bharati population in the city and the community decided to march to the actor's house and convey their anger. Amar Singhji is a highly regarded leader among our community, and we shall not tolerate anybody trying to humiliate or belittle him in any way.'' Agitated protesters carried placards denouncing the actor by saying ''Shah Rukh Murdabad'', ''Shah Rukh Murkho Ki Shaan'' (Shah Rukh is a pride of fools), and ''Shah Rukh Maafi Mango'' (Shah Rukh apologise), and ''Amar Singh Zindabad.'' The actor and his family were, however, not present at their residence, 'Mannat', during the episode. Police had beefed up security around his bungalow in order to thwart any untoward incidents.
