Lankan fisherman surrenders before police

Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, Mar 5 (UNI) A Sri Lankan fisherman whose was thrown into the water after his boat capsized in rough seas off the Mimisal Coast of this district surrendered before the local police yesterday.

Police said Saghaya Devaraj (44) of Neduntheevu in Jaffna ventured into the sea a couple of days back.

Strong winds and rough seas forced him to seek a diversion when his boat capsized. He then managed to reach the Mimisal Coast.
