Kerala to acquire land for Techno City: CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 5 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told the Assembly today the government was taking steps to acquire 507 acre of land at Pallipuram in the district for setting up of a Techno City here.

For expediting the acquisition process, the project had been included in the fast track scheme, he said in a written reply.

Mr Achuthanandan said the master plan for the project was being prepared and once commissioned, Techno City would provide direct employment to one lakh people and indirect employment to another three lakh.

Various branches of Information Technology, Biotechnology,ITES and number of connected industries, educational institutions, business school, residential complex and shopping malls would be set up in the Techno-city, he added.
