Jharkhand Guv condoles Mahto's death

Jamshedpur,March 5 (UNI) Jharkhand governor Syed Sibtey Razi today visited Tata Main hospital where the body of slain JMM MP Sunil Mahto has been kept, and paid tributes to the departed soul.

Mahto and three others were gunned down by CPI (Maoist) activists near Ghatshila in East Singhbhum district yesterday.

Mr Razi also met the JMM leader's wife Suman Mahto at Gamharia and consoled the bereaved family members.

Terming the act of naxals as ''cowardice'' and ''brutal,'' Mr Razi said Mr Mahto was a young and dynamic leader and his untimely demise had created a political vacuum.

He appealed to all to remain united at the time of crisis and stressed the need for more comprehensive action to combat against the naxal menace.
