Haryana bans sale of pesticides by 3 companies
Chandigarh, Mar 5 (UNI) The Haryana government has declined permission to three companies to stock, sell and exhibit pesticides manufactured by them in the state as their products were either found to be of substandard quality or misbranded.
Haryana Agriculture Director R K Khullar said the companies which had been declined permission to stock, sell and exhibit pesticides manufactured by them were M/s Gujarat Krishi Chem Corporation, Mumbai, M/s Jaishil Sulphur and Chemical Industries, Mumbai and M/s Harenba Industries Limited, Mumbai.
Similar permission has also been declined to two more firms -- M/s Bharat Box Factory Ltd, New Delhi and M/s Jyothy Laboratories Ltd of Haryana--as these failed to respond to the directive of the government to open sale depot in the state to effect distribution of household insecticides.
