Come we will treat you, Pak cricketer Imran Khan to Geelani
Srinagar, Mar 5 (UNI) Pakistani-cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has offered free treatment to chairman of the breakaway Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who is suffering from cancer.
Mr Khan, chief of Tehreek-e-Insaf in Pakistan, in a communication has said he will get Mr Geelani treated in the Showkat Khanam Memorial Cancer hospital, Lahore.
Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have sent goodwill messages to ailing Geelani.
Pakistan High Commissioner to India, Shahid Malik accompanied by Deputy High Commissioner visited Mr Geelani and handed over the messages of their country's President and Prime Minister to him at New Delhi.
A Hurriyat Conference spokesman said that they are receiving messages from different parts of the world about Mr Geelani.
He said a number of youths and elderly persons are ready to donate their kidney to Mr Geelani.
Yesterday Advocate Shahidul Islam ,press and personnel secretary of the moderate HC chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq has also offered to donate one of his kidney to Mr Geelani.
