Centre solely to decide on PR in J'khand if situation demands
Jamshedpur/Ranchi, Mar 5 (UNI) With various political parties demanding President's rule in Jharkhand following gunning down of JMM general secretary and MP from Jamshedpur Sunil Mahto by naxals yesterday, the Centre today said it would consider the case if the situation demands so.
Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal told reporters in Jamshedpur that the present situation did not warrant President's Rule urgently, however, reiterating that the development in the state was under central scanner.
Earlier, many political parties, including MPs, flayed the Madhu Koda-led UPA government on law and order situation and demanded President's rule in the state.
