'BJS to play major role in formation of UP Govt'

Mahoba, Mar 5: The Bhartiya Jan Shakti (BJS) today claimed it will play a prominent role in the formation of the next government in Uttar Pradesh.

''The BJS would field candidates on 50 seats in the forthcoming Assembly polls,'' party president Uma Bharti said while addressing a gathering here.

She, however, ruled out any possibility of being a part of the government.

''I will extend my support to only that party which is serious about the construction of a grand Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya, development of the state and eradication of cow slaughter,'' the firebrand leader added.

Training guns at the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the sadhvi said there was no question of supporting BJP. The party does not practice what it preaches. Presently, internal war in haunting the party.

Criticlsing the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), she accused Mayawati of being ''anti-Dalit''. ''Mayawati has gone astray from the path of late Kanshi Ram. He made Dalits realise their true strength but Mayawati does not want their betterment as she is taking them towards the wrong path,'' she added.
