BJP will frame law for Ram temple: Rajnath
Gwalior, Mar 5 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party President Rajnath Singh today announced that a law would be framed -- if the need arose -- for building a Ram temple at Ayodhya after the BJP came to power at the Centre.
He was in this citadel town to address a public meeting, ahead of the March 8 bypoll to Gwalior parliamentary constituency, in support of BJP candidate Yashodhara Raje Scindia, who is also Madhya Pradesh Tourism and Sports Minister.
Supporting the politics of coalition, he pointed out that the BJP managed a government for five years with alliance partners.
''There will be no tie-up with the Bahujan Samaj Party in the Uttar Pradesh election where Mr Kalyan Singh will contest the hustings with alliance partners,'' he told journalists.
Accusing the Centre's United Progressive Alliance regime of encouraging communalism, Mr Singh added that the Union Budget for 2007-08 was a ''communal'' budget that violated the Constitution.
''The Budget makes a provision of Rs 108 crore under a special programme for minorities. The BJP will protest if the Kashmir and Siachen issues are discussed with Pakistan without seeking the general opinion of Parliament. The target of achieving 10 per cent growth rate in the near future is impossible,'' he felt.
