Youths run away after assaulting watchman in TN

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Mar 4 (UNI) Three youths assaulted the watchman of a 'Rehabilitation School for Children below 18' at Beach Road here today and ran away.

Police said the boys were caught in a theft case and sent to the school. They hit the watchman Kumaravel(48) on his head with a hammer, while he was asleep and ran away.

The injured Kumaravel was admitted to the General Hospital here.

The youths were identified as Babu alias Yasar(17), M Satish(15) and G Saravanan(16).

Efforts were on to nab the youths, police added.
