Seven injured, Auqaf buiding and mosque gutted in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 4 (UNI) Seven persons were injured in two different road accidents while four houses, an Auqaf building and a mosque were gutted in the valley overnight, a police spoksman said today.

He said a speeding vehicle hit and injured Showkat Ahmad at Samthan on the National Highway in south Kashmir district of Anantnag today. He has been hospitalised.

A passenger bus overturned at Chowgund Rain in Anantnag district, injuring six passengers.

The injured have been hospitalised.

Fire broke out due to an electric short circuit in Aquaf Building Anjamani Hyder at Dalgate near here, causing damage to the Hyder Hall, Masjid Sharief and residential house of Ali Mohammad Dar and Fida Hussain, son of Ahmad Ali.

A residential house and a cowshed were gutted in a fire at Waripora, Magam late last night. One cow also died in the fire, he said.

Another residential house of Abdul Hamid Lone at Nawakadal and a cowshed at Kulgam were gutted last night.
