Govt should come with 'white paper' on ADB loan: BJP
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 4 (UNI) The BJP's Kerala unit today demanded that the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) government should come up with a 'white paper' about the ADB agreement to clear the apprehension of people.
Talking to mediapersons here, party state President P K Krishnadas said all the details pertaining in the ADB agreement, both during the previous Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government and LDF government period, should be included in the white paper.
Since Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan had voiced strong objection against taking ADB loan by the UDF government when he was the leader of the opposition then, he should step down if he had any sincerity on the issue, he added.
If the media reports were correct that Mr Achuthanandan had expressed his unwillingness in the cabinet about accepting the ADB loan agreement citing that it would affect the people, Mr Krishnadas said he should not burden the people by taking such loans.
Stating that the ADB agreement was against the interest of the people, he said the BJP and Yuvamorcha would organise agitations against it.
