Four more flyovers in Chennai city: Stalin
Chennai, Mar 4 (UNI) Chennai city will soon have four new flyovers and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will lay the foundation stones for them, Tamil Nadu Local Administration Minister M K Stalin announced today.
Talking to reporters, after interacting with officials here, he said works on the four flyovers would begin in the next ten days and would be completed within 15 months.
The flyovers were aimed at reducing the traffic congestion at important intersections in the city.
While one bridge would be constucted near the Pothys junction on Usman Road another would come up at Arcot Road connecting North Usman Road with Mahalingapuram.
Two more bridges, one on Turnbulls Road and other on G N Chetty Road would also be constructed.
