DVAC raids house of police officer
Chennai, Mar 4 (UNI) Officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) raided the house of a Police Inspector at suburban Porur and seized Rs 3.5 lakh cash and other assets, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
DVAC sources said here today that the raids yielded cash totalling Rs 3.5 lakh, 45 sovereigns, two cars and a bank balance of Rs 24 lakh.
The tainted police officer also owned a three-storeyed commercial complex in the area.
Pasupathy, the Inspector, was attached to Kachirapalyam police station at Villupuram.
