Doshi's anticipatory bail hearing on Mar 8

Mumbai, Mar 4 (UNI) A local court will hear on March eight, the anticipatory bail application (ABA) of film producer Gaurang Doshi, who had filed the petition fearing arrest on a complaint of assault and threat lodged by struggling actress Flora Saini with Versova police station last month.

Ms Saini had registered the complaint under sections 325 (assault), 427 (damage) and 506 (II) (threat to life) of Indian Penal Code (IPC), against Doshi on February 16, this year.

On the last occasion, Doshi's advocate filed another affidavit denying all the charges stated in the police complaint by Ms Saini.

He alleged that infact she was after Doshi's money and that he had returned all her valuables to her.

The Versova police had failed to file a report on the application, hence Additional Sessions Judge P V Bavkar adjourned the matter till March 8.

Ms Saini had claimed in her application that he (Gaurang) had promised to marry her and that she was staying with him since the last one-and-a-half years. Now he has failed to keep his promise.

During the period of one-and-half years, he took her to South Africa for 15 days and to other parts of the country, including Pune and Delhi. However, on February 14 this year, she pressed for marriage. But he got angry and assaulted her. To save her life, she ran from there and went to her parents place in suburban Andheri, she added.
