Constable held while accepting Rs 1000 bribe

Ahmedabad, Mar 4 (UNI) A head Constable, attached to Visnagar police station in Mehsana district, was caught red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs 1000 on March 2.

Police said Phulsi Barad was apprehended while taking money from one Kamlesh Patel, who runs a finance company.

A cheque, reportedly issued to Mr Patel, had bounced and a warrant was to be issued against the defaulting party. Barad had demanded a bribe of Rs 1000 to issue the warrant.
