Al-Madina and Al-Badr bans cable operators in Kashmir
Srinagar Mar 4 (UNI) Two militant outfits have imposed a ban on cable operators in the Kashmir valley.
The outfits -- Al-Madina and Al-Badr -- in a statement to local media organisations, have asked the cable operators to stop their services in the Valley.
Similar bans were imposed by different militant outfits on the cable operators in the past in the valley. Last year, cable operators suspended the transmission of all channels for about a month because of a ban. Howevere, they resumed transmission after the ban was lifted.
About a dozen cable operators were also attacked by the unknown gunmen in the valley during the past three years.
