Bangalore, Mar 3: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has continued his tirade against officials. After ordering the suspension of the Kolar DDPI and ZP CEO for not obeying his order, the CM took the bureaucracy to task at a function held at Dhavalagi village in Muddebihal taluk of the district on Friday.

The chief minister attended the free mass marriage (in which 150 couples were married) arranged by mining industrialist A S Patil as part of Madivaleshwara Smaranotsav. Mr Kumaraswamy cautioned officials, saying that deputy commissioners will be held responsible if women beneficiaries came to meet him with complaints of harassment.

"It is indeed sad to find women waiting till midnight to submit their grievances. Such a situation should not arise in future janata darshans or gram vastavya. I shall not limit myself with only receiving complaints and petitions; those responsible will be strictly dealt with," the CM thundered.

The chief minister's declaration, that he and his deputy were ready to face all the hurdles with regard to the one-time waiver of farmers' cooperative loan, drew huge applause and slogans from the crowd.
