Rlys records 57,000 online bookings in one day

Mumbai, Mar 3: The Railways created a record of sorts by selling 57,000 tickets online and collecting maximum earnings on a single day on March 1.

A Western Railway (WR) release here today said the booking was most likely the single largest transaction on the internet by any organisation in India on a single day.

On an average, normally 20,000 - 25,000 tickets are booked daily, the release added.
