HPBSE to hike textbook prices from next session
Dharamshala, Mar 3 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) has decided to hike the prices of its textbooks by 10 per cent for all classes from the next academic session, its chairman B R Rahi said.
The main reason for increasing the prices of the textbooks is to cover up for its financial losses that were being incurred at an annual rate of 32 per cent, he told UNI here.
Mr Rahi said the hike was in accordance with the guidelines of the NCERT, since the books were being sold at 10 per cent discount to the students.
