Debt-ridden man kills wife; commits suicide

Mysore, Mar 3 (UNI) A debt-ridden man murdered his wife, before committing suicide by hanging at Alanahalli village on the outskirts of the city, today.

Police said Shivaranju (36) picked up a quarrel with his wife, Manjula (30), demanding her to bring more money from her father's place to clear his loans. When Manjula refused, he suffocated her to death with a pillow. Later, he was found hanging from a banyan tree near his house.
