Senior leader leaves National Conference in JK

Srinagar, Mar 3: The National Conference (NC), the main opposition party in Jammu and Kashmir, suffered a setback when another senior leader resigned from the primary membership of the party today.

Ghulam Mohiuddin Rather, block president, Pahalgam, in a letter to the NC president Omar Abdullah said he was resigning from the party with immediate effect.

He resigned a day after another senior leader and former MLA Rafi Ahmad Mir left the NC alleging that the party leadership has ignored the workers at the grassroots level.
