43 Australian Education Institutions to woo Indian students

Bangalore, Mar 3 (UNI) A group of 43 leading institutions from Australia, currently touring India, will be arriving in the city on a Student Recruitment Programme here on March 12.

With about 39,000 Indian student enrolments in Australia in 2006-07, India was the second biggest source country for Australia.

IDP Education supported by Australian Education International (AEI) and The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) is organising a country wide student recruitment programme covering Seven cities.

The programme was being held here at Hotel Le Meridien.

Interviews for students will be conducted on-site and on spot admission offers will be made to students.

With Indian student enrolments growing at over 35 per cent per annum Australian Institutions offer distinct competitive advantages for Indian students that include excellence in education.

During the student recruitment programme, the Australian Trade Commission and Australian Education International are organising Education Seminars on "Education Opportunities in Biotechnology and Information Technology in Australia" The list of participating institutions include Le Cordon Bleu, Holmesglen Institute, University of Ballarat, Bond University, Victoria University, University of Ballarat (IIBIT), University of Western Sydney, Australian School of Tourism&Hotel Management, The University of New South Wales, Melbourne Institute of Technology, South Bank Institute of TAFE, University of Technology Sydney, In Search UTS, Australian Catholic University, La Trobe University, The University of Western Australia, Box Hill Institute of TAFE, University Of South Australia, Swinburne University of Technology, University of Queensland, University of Melbourne, Monash University, Open Universities Australia, RMIT University, The University of Adelaide, The University of Sydney, Charles Darwin University, Curtin University of Technology, Blue Mountains Hotel School, University of Wollongong, Deakin University, Melbourne Institute of Business&Technology, Macquarie University, Edith Cowan University, University of Southern Queensland, James Cook University, Charles Sturt University, University of Tasmania, Uni Canberra, Griffith University, Flinders University, TAFE NSW, Sheila Baxter Training Centre, Stott's College and UOWD.
