Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) Popular TV artiste Devi Priya and her beau Isaac Williams today surrendered before a Magistrate Court in connection with a threat case filed against them by the latter's second wife.

The duo surrendered before the Ninth Metroplitan Magistrate Court Saidapet and obtained anticipatory bail.

Later talking to mediapersons, Devi Priya denied reports that she had secretly married Issac on February 19 and said, ''We would enter into the wedlock after informing everyone''.

The actress and Isaac, a poultry farm owner, had planned to get married on February 19.

Hearing this, Isaac's first wife Stella lodged a complaint at the all-women police station at Adyar stating that her former husband was yet to return about 45 sovereign of jewellery and Rs 45,000 cash given to him as dowry and wanted to initiate criminal action against him.

Acting on the complaint, police arrested Isaac's mother Glory Jayaraj, when another complaint came against him, this time filed by his second wife Hemamalini, who alleged that Isaac and Devi Priya had threatened her for opposing the marriage.

When police spread a dragnet to nab them, Devi Priya moved the High Court and got conditional bail. As part of fulfilling the conditions, the duo surrendered before the Magistrate court and got bail.
