Ranchi, Mar 2 (UNI) In a bid to train security personnel to specialise in counter-insurgency operations against the Naxalites, a 'School of Jungle Warfare' will be set up in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh, Governor Syed Sibtey Razi said today.

Mr Razi, during his address on the first day of budget session, expressed concern over the insurgency problems.

He said the government, among various measures undertaken to solve the crisis, was trying to make people in the rural areas aware of the ill effects of insurgency.

He said about Rs 200 crore have been spent on modernisation and strengthening of police force adding many more programmes were being implemented on priority basis.

About 37 police stations have been constructed at Naxalite affected areas, Mr Razi said. Common Integrated Police Application (CIPA) has been implemented in at least 30 per cent of the police stations and a total of 534 posts of police officers and armed forces personnel were created to man the Composite Control Rooms established at all districts in the state.

He said 1830 police personnel were recruited this year besides appointment of 4000 constables.
